Skip Waybrant piloting our newest Toccoa Drift Boat into Towee Creek

Skip has been a professional fishing guide for over 20 years. Originally from Western Oregon, Skip has guided on rivers throughout the United States and is currently guiding for South Eastern Anglers.

Here is what he had to say after rowing our new Toccoa Drift boat down the Hiwassee. “I recently had the opportunity to row a custom 15’6” driftboat, Toccoa model, built by Reliance woodcraft. My initial thought was she sure is pretty. The fit and finish is exceptional. Classic lines combined with real attention to detail make her a real head Turner. But sometimes good looks doesn’t extend to performance. Not so with this driftboat. On the water with 3 adults on board she was very responsive. She will idle out in the slightest upwelling reducing anchor drops and pulls. In heavy fast water one good stroke stops her. I took her through 3 foot standing waves and everyone stayed dry even with nearly a 600 lbs. load. In closing,  if you appreciate fine craftsmanship and exceptional performance on the water this just might be your boat.”
